Korneuburg celebrates wine market: enjoyment and community in the town hall

A very special event recently took place in Korneuburg: the first wine market with the motto "From the vine into the glass". Under the organization of the city marketing, the town hall was transformed into a lively meeting point for wine lovers and pleasure friends. Over 300 visitors had the opportunity to be enthusiastic about the variety of regional wines and at the same time to linger in a sociable atmosphere.

The wine market focused on the quality of regional wines. Numerous winegrowers from the district, including renowned companies such as the wineries Baier, Brenninger, Gundolf, Haller and many others, presented their best products. The guests had the chance to get advice directly from the winegrowers and to learn more about the wines that are often made with a lot of dedication and passion.

In order to offer something to the visitors, the district farmers from Korneuburg with delicious regional delicacies took care of the physical well -being. The evening was musically accompanied by the “Jazztrio Cuvèe”, which created a relaxed atmosphere with its sounds, in which the guests could enjoy excellently. In a solemn act, the pastors Anneliese Peterson and Stefan Koller christened the young wine with the name "Koinonia", which means "community" in the Greek language. This symbolic gesture represented the cohesion and the strengthening of relationships within the community.

A highlight of the evening was the choice of the new Korneuburg city wine, which was decided by a public voting. The Haller Weingut from Enzersfeld was able to secure the title, while the Paul winery from Leobendorf and the Moser winery from Klein-Engersdorf took second and third place. Mayor Christian Gepp was enthusiastic: "The Korneuburger Weinmarkt has impressively showed how much quality our regional winemakers are in their work. The successful premiere and the numerous visitors confirm that this event was perfectly tailored to the expectations. I am already looking forward to the continuation next year."

Details on other events and program items in the Korneuburg district will be announced in the next few weeks. This premiere of the wine market could be the beginning of a tradition that not only promotes viticulture, but also strengthens the sense of community in Korneuburg. In the future we can look back on other enjoyable moments.
