Film magic in the romantic theater: filming for La Tre Vita
In the charming Untermarkersdorf, film production for "La Tre Vita-The Three Lives" has started, which is shot in the historical walls of the romantic theater. Directed by Benjamin Baumgartner, whose father Roland writes film music. The theater was stylishly transformed into the backdrop of 1860, which makes the atmosphere of the film alive.
The main part of the film addresses the psychological stress of people with disabilities, especially the inner struggle against mental pain. In order to tell authentic stories, Baumgartner researched intensively in the rehabilitation center "Weißer Hof" in Klosterneuburg, where he had conversations with those affected.
inspiration by an innovator
A central impetus for the work came from Christian Czapek, a German inventor who became known with his divisible wheelchair bike "Trivida". Czapek's invention has improved the everyday life of many wheelchair users and was presented in various television programs, including "Löwen cave" on VOX. To his delight, he will also take on a role in the film.
Baumgartner strives to draw social attention to the challenges and life of people with handicap, similar to his last short film "When we are back home". After completion, the team would like to submit the film to prominent international film festivals such as Cannes and the Berlinale. A later publication is also planned on streaming platforms such as Netflix.
In history, everything revolves around Dario, a joyful man who sits in a wheelchair after an accident and suffers from depression. A therapy session leads him to a book about a young woman from 1860, who, also in a wheelchair, experiences difficult times. Thanks to the support of a time traveling inventor, she learns to overcome her fears and to draw courage. Dario, which is initially skeptical, learns that many of the challenges could affect him.
