Delegation from Nĕmčicko discovers the Weinviertel: an exchange in pictures
An exciting encounter took place in the Weinviertel when a large group of around 50 mayors and officials from the Czech region of Nĕmčicko came to visit between Brno and Olomütz. From November 13th to 15th, the delegation had the opportunity to visit and experience various successes by the Leader region Weinviertel-Manhartsberg. These projects have been developed through several funding periods and are intended to serve as the forward models for similar initiatives in the Czech Republic.
The group was accompanied by Hana Zvarikova, an employee of the Leader region, who organized the extensive three-day program. The participants had the opportunity to find out about the way of working and the different approaches in the region. The Hollabrunner Hauptplatz, the Kellergassen in Alberndorf and Hadres as well as the Schlosskeller Mailberg were the central points. The LEADER strategy is a funding measure that supports rural areas in strengthening its economic and social development. The concept is based on the active participation of the communities. During the visit, the Czech participants were able to see the implementation of successful projects first -hand and had the opportunity to exchange ideas with those responsible. This exchange is particularly valuable because the delegation take ideas and suggestions home and may be able to initiate your own projects.
The Czech Mayors showed great interest in the implemented initiatives and asked specifically about the challenges and solutions that performed during the implementation of the projects. Am Hollabrunner Hauptplatz was warmly welcomed by the delegation by Mayor Alfred Babinsky and the Leader representatives Renate Mihle and Hana Zvarikova. This friendly gesture underlines the endeavor to deepen the cross -border relationships and exchange ideas. The visit shows in an impressive way how the exchange between neighboring regions can promote the common good, at a time when international understanding and cooperation are particularly valuable. For the future, further projects and cooperation opportunities could result in the two regions.
