Pure adrenaline: Weinland Trophy impresses with thrilling autocross races
Next weekend, Hollabrunn will be the center of autocross sport because the eagerly awaited Weinland Trophy is just around the corner! On both racing days, the WRT ring will be used to its full extent to offer spectators exciting competitions. This event not only attracts local athletes and fans, but also almost 100 participants from different nations who will compete in 13 classes.
The races are counted for participants in the Austrian Autocross and Quad National Championships as well as for the Czech Mascom Cup (Kartcross). An exciting weekend full of action awaits the spectators, who will experience exciting overtaking maneuvers and thrilling duels.
Local talent and their ambitions
Particularly exciting is the participation of the local heroes, who are looking forward to competing in front of their home crowd. The chairman of the organizer WRT Hollabrunn, Daniel Fischer, emphasizes that ten drivers from the region will be competing in different classes. Among them is the young Jakob Wagner, who drives in the Racer Buggies 250 cc class.
With Sascha Troll, Christopher Matuschek and Daniel Schienegger, three drivers are represented in the TW 2000ccm class. Lukas Troll and Jürgen Bernold are fighting for victory in the TW-5000 cc class, while Michael Turtzer will compete in the TW all-wheel drive category. Markus Hengelmüller is celebrating his comeback in the up-and-coming kartcross class, and Thomas Markus has ambitiously defended his runner-up title in the buggy all-wheel drive class up to 5000 cc.
“All drivers are highly motivated to collect important points for the state championship,” explains Fischer enthusiastically. “It will be a weekend full of action, excitement and unforgettable moments!”
Details about the event
The Weinland Trophy starts at 8 a.m. on both days. Entrance prices are extremely fair at €15 per day or a weekend ticket for €25. Admission is even free for children up to 12 years old.
