Lantern festival in the castle: an unforgettable Martin game

The lantern festival of the Burgkindergarten converted the city ditch into a festive place full of lights and happy faces. In the historical ambience, those present experienced a traditional Martin game, which this year was particularly impressive due to the performance of Saint Martin on a real horse.

What was special about this event was not only the festive atmosphere, but also the participation of the mayor Gerhard Weil (SPÖ), who donated Kipferl generously for all visitors. These small, curved rolls are a traditional part of celebrations in the region and were shared together after the performance.

a wonderful tradition

After the game, the guests gathered at the numerous stands to fortify themselves with punch, sausages and freshly grilled corn. Such culinary delights not only contribute to cosiness, but also promote the cooperation in the community. It once again demonstrated how important such traditions are for the social structure of the city by bringing the residents together.

The lantern festival in the castle kindergarten is much more than just a festival - it is an expression of tradition and community. The children, parents and other visitors appreciated the opportunity to celebrate together and to illuminate the darkness of the evening with lights of the lanterns. Such solids strengthen the connection between the residents and bring generations together to keep customary.
