Fast internet for Viehdorf: Community options and action!
In Viehdorf, there is an important project to improve internet supply: the expansion of the fiber optic network. Mayor Markus Burgstaller is optimistic about the opportunities that result from the project. It is important to achieve a connection rate of 60 percent of households by the end of January 2025, which is the prerequisite for the start of the expansion work.
As part of this initiative, a one -time campaign is offered, in which the connection costs are set to 400 euros, while the monthly tariffs will cost depending on the provider from 39.90 euros. During a well -attended information event on October 15, which took place in the parish hall, project manager Franz Fischer from the IKW engineering office presented the Details of the project to the residents.
Engagement by broadband ambassador
To support citizens in the information process, so-called broadband ambassadors are sent to the community. These people have been trained in their task and are available to the residents as direct contact persons to bring information about the connection options into every household.
The municipal service association Amstetten plans to build one of the most extensive fiber optic networks in Lower Austria. The entire infrastructure of this project will remain 100 percent in public sector, which ensures high quality and transparency. The concept "Fiber to the Home" (FTTH) means that each house will receive a separate fiber optic line.
Mayor Burgstaller urgently appeals to the property owners to take this unique opportunity: "It is a joint project. If we do not act now, this project will be delayed for years." The call is aimed at everyone to actively participate in progress so that the digital future of Viehdorf remains secure. For more information on this topic Read read here.
