A remarkable milestone in fire service history took place in Ulmerfeld-Hausmening, Lower Austria. Three generations of the Furtlehner family have successfully acquired the gold fire service badge (FLA). The sponsors are EOBI Johann Furtlehner sen., E-BR Johann Furtlehner jun. and HFM Johann Furtlehner Jüng. All three are actively involved in the Ulmerfeld-Hausmening volunteer fire department and thus set a strong example for tradition and community.

How Fireworld Johann Furtlehner Sr. reported. acquired the FLA Gold in Upper Austria when this was still possible there separately, and is one of the last holders with two FLA Golds from two different federal states. These special achievements were recognized by district trainer Karl Etlinger and district fire brigade commander Rudolf Katzengruber, who also addressed the challenges of acquiring the FLA in gold. This year, a total of 13 fire brigade members from the Amstetten district took part in the challenging competition in Tulln.

This competition includes disciplines such as knotting and driving, with a focus on teamwork and coordination.
