NEOS records a surge in membership: Austria wants change!
More and more people in Austria are demanding changes in politics. This attitude underlines Small newspaper, which reports on the popularity of NEOS. Party leader Hoyos emphasizes that the NEOS act differently than traditional parties: “We do politics on an equal level, we do politics with the people, not over their heads.”
The NEOS are now enjoying an increase in membership and currently have 3,900 members. The influx could have been encouraged, among other things, by joining the government. However, compared to other parties, the NEOS still have a significant gap: the Greens have around 7,000 members and the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ) has around 140,000.

To become a member, interested parties can submit their membership application directly via the NEOS website. The annual membership fee is 84 euros, although discounts are also available. These measures could help to attract even more citizens to participate in politics.

With these foundations, the country's political landscape is more expansive. The NEOS have set themselves the goal of getting more people to actively participate in political decision-making and are committed to transparency and proximity to citizens.
