M Prize and Mer Austria: 15 new quick charging stations for Tirol & Co!

Innsbruck, Österreich - mer Austria and M Prize according to Econews continue the expansion of your charging infrastructure in Austria. The strategic partnership that started last year aims to facilitate access to sustainable mobility in everyday life. In this context, the first 15 m price locations in the federal states of Tyrol, Salzburg and Carinthia are equipped with modern quick charging infrastructure.

By the end of 2025, a total of around 80 charging points are planned at 39 branch locations. Particularly noteworthy are the eleven locations that are to be put into operation by August 2025, including Innsbruck, Fügen, Schwarzach and Altenmarkt in the Pongau. These charging stations are operated with 100 percent green electricity and use modern fast charging stations from Alpitronic that offer charging capacity of up to 400 kW.

Access to the charging infrastructure takes place via the MER ConnectMe app, roaming charging cards or simply with debit and credit cards without the necessary registration. Mer Austria and M Prize emphasize their customer orientation and the quick implementation of the project. In the future, a further 49 locations will be planned, which will support the establishment of a future -oriented, customer -based charging network in Western Austria.

The focus on electromobility is not only important for companies, but also contributes to the achievement of the climate goals in Austria. Bidirectional charging enables electricity to be returned to the network, which is great potential for the future. There are currently over 27,000 public charging points available in Austria, and an additional 1,500 charging points for electric cars are to be created by 2030, with a further 1,300 charging points for e-trucks up to 2035.
