Carinthia's social democracy appoints Paul Kofler as the new head of state!

Villach, Österreich - On July 5, 2025, the State Conference of the Socialist Youth Generation (SJG) Carinthia took place. Peter Kaiser, the governor, took the opportunity to point out the indispensable basic values of social democracy. He emphasized the need to reflect on international values such as freedom, equality, justice, solidarity and democracy. The conference was particularly trend -setting, since Luca Burgstaller no longer started election after nine years at the head of the SJG Carinthia. Paul Kofler from Villach prevailed in an exciting competition and received impressive 96 percent of the delegate votes. This makes Kofler new state chairman of the SJG Carinthia, which could signal a change in meaning and a fresh wind within the organization.
