Spa day for dogs: Carinthians are committed to animal welfare

In a remarkable sign of commitment to animal welfare, two friends from Carinthia have launched a special charity campaign. Laura Brenner and Nathalie Zechner, who got to know each other during their training at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, actively campaign for abandoned animals. In order to increase the opportunities of the dogs in the Wolfsberg animal shelter, a spa day for the four-legged friends took place recently.

After Nathalie Zechner opened his own animal spa "La Luna" in Vienna in February, where she spoils small animals, Laura Brenner works in the Wolfsberg animal shelter. There she not only takes care of the dogs and cats, but also helps injured birds. The spa day was launched by both women to offer dogs to the dogs that they earn. "The animals are washed, cut, spoiled and trimmed," explains Zechner enthusiastically. "We also take care of the ear care and cut their claws." This joint action should not only contribute to the care of the animals, but also improve the chance of a new home.

The Spa Day in the Wolfsberg animal shelter was a complete success. Some dogs, including Ares and Snuppy, visibly enjoyed the special treatments. Snuppy, a toe kilogram of Maltese, was brought to the shelter due to problems with its previous owners. To his delight, he gets along well with other dogs, which increases the opportunities for mediation. Ares, an approximately 30 kilogram shepherd mix, has specific requirements regarding its new home. Children would not be ideal in his new home, but with other dogs it usually depends on sympathy.

The initiative of these two women shows how much love and dedication in working for animal welfare. Laura Brenner and Nathalie Zechner plan to continue this collaboration in order to pamper many other animals and increase the chances of placement. Interested parties can contact the Wolfsberg animal shelter to learn more about the dogs and their adoption. If you are interested in Ares or Snuppy, you should use the phone number 04352/540 77.

This action not only offers a break for the animals, but also raises awareness of the work behind animal welfare initiatives. Further information is available at www.meinbezirk.at .
