Career fair in Villach: Students discover their professional perspectives

The Bhak/Bhas Villach organized a career fair on October 3, which offered students a valuable opportunity to get in touch with various companies and institutions. Over 160 students from the three to five years had the chance to learn more about potential employers and to get an insight into different professional fields.

The fair took place in the BHAK Piccottiisaal, where well -known companies such as the Carinthian Sparkasse and Strabag SE presented their offers. The event lasted from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and received positive feedback from both sides. The deputy headmaster Klaus Masaniger was pleased with the strong response and emphasized that the interest of the economy in the school graduates clearly emerged. He added: "This motivates us to continue our successful path in the training of specialists."

insight into tax advice

Another highlight took place on October 8th. Classes 4AK, 4BK and 2aul visited the Villach University of Applied Sciences, where the job description of tax advice and auditing was in the foreground. Mr. Mag. (FH) Thomas Sykora, professional group chairman of the tax consultant KSW Austria, explained the requirements and challenges in this versatile professional field.

In addition, the students received exciting insights through lectures by three experienced tax consultants: Christoph Regenfeld from Datex Steuerberatung GmbH, Mag. Antonia Wieltsch from KPMG Alpen-Treuhand GmbH and Mag. Monika Tagerer from Taferner Steuerberatung GmbH. These lectures were not only informative, but also offered inspiration and new perspectives for the young people.

bridge between school and work

With these initiatives, Bhak/Bhas Villach again shows how important it is to beat a bridge between school and work. Such events support the students in finding their way around in a constantly changing world of work. Measures such as this promote the dialogue between educational institutions and the economy and offer the students valuable information for their future career.
