New autumn festival in Ledenitzen: Including daycare opens your doors
In Ledenitzen, a new daycare and kindergarten location was recently opened, celebrated under the motto "autumn festival". In cooperation with Lebenshilfe Carinthia, the Carinthia relief organization has created a space that promotes including education for children and people with disabilities. The event was opened by the head of the facility, Katrin Prize, and her team, supported by the children. The highlights of the festival were the greeting with a welcome song and an ecumenical blessing by pastoral assistant Marjan Gallob and pastor Thomas Körner.
The new premises offers space for a total of 35 children in two groups: a daycare group with 15 children aged 1 to 3 years and a group that is designed for 20 children from 1 to 6 years. In total, the children are looked after by five educators. A special highlight is the food edition, which is also organized by the Lebenshilfe Carinthia, which creates a room for encounters between the children and the clients of life aid.
The room concept and the importance of inclusion
The integration of Lebenshilfe Carinthia into the everyday structure of childcare was emphasized by Elisabeth Scheucher-Pichler, the President of the aid organization, as a valuable measure. "The joint use of premises creates a space for encounters, which strengthens the social skills of everyone involved," she said. This not only promotes cooperation, but also helps to reduce prejudices and intensify the binding of community.
Special thanks was given to the municipality of Finkenstein, which the aid organization has so far supported with various projects in the region. "The community is a valuable partner, and together we can achieve a lot," continued Scheucher-Pichler. This project stands out through its inclusive strategy, which aims at a harmonious and respectful community.
The location, which was opened in September, is not only used for the daily care of the children, but also for various activities that promote learning and personal growth. At the festival, the children were able to test their skills at various stations and have fun, which underlines the importance of the game in the learning process.
The opening is not only an important step for families in the region, but also a milestone for the development of inclusive educational offers. This initiative shows how cooperation can strengthen different institutions and have a positive impact on the common good. Further information on this topic is on www.meinbezirk.at find.
