Last weekend, the Bucketride Festival 2024 experienced a terrific comeback at the picturesque Faaker See in the Villach region. Despite adverse weather conditions with cold temperatures and rain, 230 mountain bike enthusiasts took part in this special event. The festival has established itself as more than just a sporting event - it is a living community.The number of participants reveals a lot about the attraction of the festival. The audience consisted of 55 % men and 45 % women, whereby the average age was 35 years. Particular attention was paid to the youngest participants, because 35 children under the age of 15 were among the 230. The youngest participant was only nine months old, while the oldest participant had 64 years. A committed team of 13 helpers as well as 43 exhibitors and media representatives contributed significantly to the success of the event.

"The Bucketride Festival 2024 remains unforgettable. The motivation and good mood of 230 people despite the bad weather overwhelmed us. On Sunday, sunshine caused a perfect end," said the organizers. Among the many activities, the Big Bucketrideout stood out with 133 participants, followed by an exciting Sunlight Community-Ride with the mountain bike professional Jasper Jauch and a scooter coaster Ride with the popular YouTube stars Freeride Flo and Toffer. In addition to these highlights, the Villach region offered various guided tours and test bike options in cooperation with Deuter and Specialized.
The festival was particularly child-friendly by the Kids Bike program organized by Mona from the Theresienhof. In the evening, the mood was heated up by a campfire concert by Buck Roger & The Sidetrackers, supported by Alexander Pressinger. In addition, over 40 entertaining reels were created at the BC Trail Safari, while the B/O/F/F/F Open Air Movie Night offered visitors a unique open -air cinema experience.
