HLW Spittal celebrates 50 years of education: a look back and forward
On October 18, 2023, the guests of the HLW Spittal were able to experience a very special event: the school celebrated its fifty years. Under the motto "Re: Vision", which alludes to both the past and the future, a festive event took place, which attracted numerous visitors. Politicians, economic experts, educational representatives as well as many current and former students and teachers were among those present.
Director Adolf Lackner came to speak in his speech on the diversity of the educational offer. "We have an educational offer that fits every 14-year-old and every 14-year-old," he emphasized, explaining that around 700 students are currently being taught at the school. The HLW Spittal offers 15 classes in different disciplines, including gastronomy, economy, IT, social professions, natural sciences, as well as sports and languages.

The festivity was supplemented by a talk round, which was moderated by the teacher Petra Götz and quality manager Herbert Lobak. In these conversations, the experiences were illuminated by former and current students. These conversations offered the attempts present in the professional careers, which were made possible by training at the HLW Spittal. Special highlights were the different stands that presented the different specialties of the school and made it possible for the development of the training content over the years. The event was musically framed by the student Bigband and the physical well -being was not neglected due to the in -house kitchen.
