In a dramatic incident on Sunday, December 30, 2024, an 18-year-old woman from Spittal an der Drau exceeded the speed limit on Großglockner Straße (B107). At around 3:30 p.m., police officers clocked her at a speed of 123 km/h in an area where the speed limit was just 70 km/h. After deducting the measurement tolerance, the young driver was stopped and her driver's license was revoked on site.
