Benefit calendar and concert: Kiwanis for children in need active
Hubert Steindl and Gundi Kaller-Grill, freshly baked presidents of the Kiwanis clubs Spittal/Drau and Spittal Porcia, have prepared for an eventful weekend with their club members. The focus is on the sale of the Kiwanis Art Advent calendar and a benefit concert that takes place on Saturday, November 23, in the Stadtsaal Spittal.
The Kiwanis Art Advent calendar, designed by the committed members of the two clubs, shows the artwork "Bird" by the artist Melanie Joch on his front. Originally from Leonberg in Germany, the artist has been living in Spittal since 1998 and studied at the Merz Academy in Stuttgart. The calendar will be sold on November 22nd and 23rd in the city park center and in the new purchase Spittal. The proceeds flow to impaired children in the region, under the motto "We build a bridge to the future for the children". Buyers of the calendar have the chance to win different material prices, including short vacations and vouchers, while the original work of art is raffled off as the main prize.
benefit concert with Uwe Geisler
The benefit concert is contested by Uwe Geisler, who is known in Bavaria as the "storyteller with the guitar". Geisler expresses personal experiences and stories in his melancholic and rock melodies that have shaped his life. Despite his positive life perspective, he would also like to draw attention to the challenges and dark sides of life. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and promises to become a highlight of the weekend.
The events are not only an important part of the Kiwanis work, but also a way for the community to get involved and support children in need. The sale of the calendar and the concert should strengthen social cohesion and show how important the support of children in the region is. This initiative is part of the long tradition of the kiwanis clubs to actively contribute to society and to have a positive way, As www.kleinezeitung.at reports .
