The plans for the new building, which will cost an estimated 977,700 euros, were not only welcomed by the members of the local council, but also by numerous firefighters who took part in this important decision -making process.

Special praise is due to the fire brigade and parish officer Daniel Fellner, who was instrumental in the organization of this project. Mayor DI Leopold Astner and municipal fire brigade officer Günter Pernul have campaigned for a generous assignment of 600,000 euros, which greatly reduced the financial burden for the municipality. Astner explained that such financing in the state of Carinthia's current austerity policy was exceptional. Only a few hundred euros in own funds are needed by the municipality.

In winter, the tenders for the construction of the armory are published so that the construction can be started in spring. The Rattendorf fire brigade is pleased that the new building should be completed in 2027 until the 150th anniversary of the fire brigade. The fire brigade Rattendorf is one of the largest in the municipality of Hermagor-Pressegger See and plays a crucial role in security in the region, especially around the popular Nassfeld area, where it works with the fire brigade Tröpolach to protect the numerous guests.
