Volunteer fire brigade Wullersdorf: New load vehicle saves life!

In mid -July 2025, the Wullersdorf volunteer fire brigade demonstrated its operational readiness through a total of four missions, which impressively illustrate the variety of its tasks. In the week when the new load vehicle was officially presented, the fire brigade successfully used the vehicle with several operations. These missions included a technical defect in a coach, vehicle recovery and a field fire.

The first assignment took place on July 12 on the S3 expressway in the direction of Vienna. A coach came to a standstill due to an engine damage, which led to the alarm of the fire brigade at 2:45 p.m. The emergency services secured the site, tied the oil leaked out and transported the bus to a rest area.

On July 18, the fire brigade was called for a second assignment. On the state road L1012 between Immendorf and Untermarkersdorf there was a collision between two cars, in which the Wullersdorfer fire brigade was alerted as support. The new load vehicle also played a central role in the rescue of the vehicles.

The third assignment took place on the same evening at 8:00 p.m. on the S3 in the direction of Hollabrunn. Here a car was collided with the middle circuit. In this case, too, the load vehicle was used for salvage, which required an operational time of about 45 minutes.

The fourth assignment took place on July 20 between Guntersdorf and Pernersdorf due to a field fire during the harvest work. The fire brigade Wullersdorf moved out together with the fire brigades from Guntersdorf and Pernersdorf. The use of the flames was successfully prevented by using several jet pipes and fire pits.

The introduction of the new load vehicle not only marked a technological step forward for the fire brigade Wullersdorf, but was also an occasion for a celebration for the in-service position after the first training courses and technical adjustments. In addition, the fire brigade attended the 125th anniversary of the FF Oberstinkenbrunn, which was spontaneously interrupted due to the operations.
