FPÖ communication consultant: BKS Bank terminates account - politics in focus!
Oberösterreich, Österreich - The communication consultant Heimo Lepuschitz recently announced that his bank account was terminated at BKS Bank. On the "X" platform (formerly Twitter), he published a picture of the letter of termination, in which the bank sets a period of eight weeks to close the account. "With this letter we cancel the accounts according to our general terms and conditions," it says. Lepuschitz, who is also a consultant for FPÖ state organizations, commented provocative to terminate and criticized the bank for its supposed disregard freedom of freedom, "we have brought it far in Austria", which is perceived by many users as an arbitrary decision. The comments on his post are mostly outraged, with demands for legal steps against such account announcements.
In the political landscape, Lepuschitz also takes a position on the elections in Upper Austria, where the FPÖ secures a respectable place compared to other parties at around 20 percent. Despite this defeat, he sees the result as a sign that the FPÖ under the new party leader Herbert Kickl has upset again, especially in view of the continued Corona debate and a targeted anti-FPÖ campaign by the ÖVP. The changes in the electorate and the clear positions of the FPÖ, such as the pro vaccination freedom, could have contributed significantly to the fact that many former FPÖ voters migrated to the new MFG-Movement, which the party could bring in trouble. Analysts argue that the FPÖ has to remain clear so as not to share the fate of the CSU, which failed in its elections due to ambiguities and a medium course.
During the political pressure on the FPÖ, Lepuschitz reports that the commitment to a clear positioning of the party is crucial to mobilize the voter base. The result in the Upper Austrian state elections shows that despite internal and external challenges, the FPÖ is able to reflect on their roots and return in voting, whereby it should definitely distance itself from a dilated policy. The political dynamics and the reactions to the bank termination could thus be an indicator of the current mood and the future actions of the FPÖ, which once more has to rely on the basic values of their electorate in order not to lose any further.
