FPÖ boss Nepp: 31.3% of migrants unemployed-reform now required!

Wien, Österreich - The newly published integration report causes great discussions about the integration of migrants in Austria. According to the FPÖ, led by City Councilor Dominik Nepp, the numbers are alarming. 31.3 percent of migrants from Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq are unemployed, while the unemployment rate among Austrians is only 5.7 percent. Nepp expressed outrage about this situation and called for an end to unconditional social benefits because he criticizes the Vienna model of minimum security as outdated. This once again shows the challenges with which the country is confronted when it comes to integrating migrants. OTS reports .

These findings are in the context of a comprehensive integration report, which was created by the German Center for Integration and Migration Research (DEZIM) and illuminates the situation in Germany. The Integration report comprises almost 400 pages and provides information about the participation of immigrants at different areas of life, including Education, labor market integration processes or social participation. In Germany, around 25 percent of the population have an immigration history, which turns out to be challenging, especially in the context of the last waves of immigration from crisis regions.

Integration and labor market

A central result of the report is that people with a migration background are much more affected by unemployment, about twice as strong as people without a migration background. This is not just a local problem. BMAS emphasizes that there is still a need for action despite progress made in order to improve the labor market integration of migrants. Language barriers, non -recognized foreign degrees or lack of information contribute significantly to this problem.

In order to counteract these challenges, various funding programs are launched, such as the "Integration through Qualification - IQ" program. This cooperates with various ministries and aims at better recognition and integration of foreign professional qualifications. In addition, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs offers special language support measures to facilitate access to jobs.

success and challenges of integration policy

The Minister of State for Migration, Refugees and Integration, Alabali-Radovan, emphasizes the success of the integration policy measures, especially in the area of the labor market. Nevertheless, it is clear that the education sector is not yet sufficiently adjusted to the diverse society. The integration report is intended to serve as a guide for the federal, state and municipalities in order to identify and implement targeted measures to promote integration.

In summary, the current situation shows that there is still a great need for action to improve the integration of migrants into the labor market. Initiatives at different levels are necessary to ensure that the participation of all population groups is effectively promoted. It remains to be seen how the political parties, especially the FPÖ with their critical demands, will react to the challenges.
