Electra promotes electromobility: new quick charging stations in Graz and Fürstenfeld!
Graz, Österreich - Electra, a provider of quick discharges in Europe, has expanded his shop network in Austria, especially in Styria. With the opening of new locations in Graz and Fürstenfeld, the company promises to further drive electromobility in the region. In Graz, a quick charging station was set up at the Clocktower restaurant, which is equipped with two 300 kW speed charging stations and a total of four charging points. The location offers commuters and visitors to the nearby event center a convenient point of contact.
in Fürstenfeld is the new loading park on the site of the Goldino of Goldino, also with two 300 kW charging stations and four charging points. The strategic partnership between Electra and Goldino aims to create loading areas with high quality of stay that not only benefit electric car drivers, but also to the guests of the catering business.
growth and future vision
Sébastien Aldegué, Country Manager of Electra Austria, emphasizes how important Styria is for the comprehensive strategy of the company. Other locations are being planned, including a charging thrust in Hartberg, which is to be opened in the coming weeks. The long -term goal of Electra is to build 600 charging points nationwide by the end of 2027 to make electromobility available easily and reliably.
The development of quick charging stations is not only important for private users of electric cars, but also for traders. Electric vehicles drivers know that the battery degenerates faster when it comes to quick charging than in the alternating current shop. High-performance charging stations (HPC) offer charging power of up to 350 kW and are therefore in great demand. In 2021, a new charging system called hypercharging of volt tempo was also presented, which theoretically can deliver up to 1,000 kW and can charge up to 24 vehicles at the same time.
challenges and perspectives
Although some vehicles can already be charged with a charging capacity of 350 kW, it will probably take a while for charging stations to be available for electric vehicles with 1,000 kW. This is a challenge, especially for electric truck drivers who have to take a 45-minute stop every 4-5 hours. Electrical trucks can currently be charged with a maximum of 500 kW, which increases the need for a wide-ranging infrastructure.
Overall, the expansion of Electra in Styria shows how important the creation of suitable charging infrastructures is for the promotion of electromobility. Cooperation with catering institutions and the strategic planning of other locations could help to change more and more people to electric vehicles and thus have a positive impact on the environment.
