Drama at the Stubai Glacier: Teenagers roll over by car!
In a dramatic traffic accident on March 14, 2025, around 11:15 p.m., a 17-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle on the private road of the Stubaier Gletscherbahnen. He was on the road with three other friends, between the ages of 16 and 19, when the accident happened. For reasons that have so far been unexplained, the car freaked out of the road in a steep left curve, broke through a edge of the terrain and fell down a steep slope over 22 meters before there was a standstill on the forest road on the roof. Despite the severity of the accident, all occupants managed to free themselves from the vehicle independently, as 5min.at reported.
The driver suffered several head injuries, a 17-year-old passenger was slightly injured, while the other two occupants remained intact. An alcohol test with the driver was negative, but the vehicle was classified as total damage. In another incident on the same day, there was another traffic accident in the Westend at around 7 p.m. in Rominter Allee. Here the patrol officials found a damaged car that had crashed into a lamppost, but no inmates on site.
