Wien, Österreich - that is known as one of the largest open-air festivals in Europe 42. Donauinselfest takes place in Vienna from June 20 to 22, 2025. With free admission, the festival is a popular meeting place for music lovers from all generations. W24, the most viewed city broadcaster in Austria, presents the livelihood island this year, which is supposed to create a particularly beautiful ambience for musical diversity and joie de vivre.

The festival not only promises an extended format with more space for encounters and cultural activities, but is also aimed at a wide audience. The heart of the event is the Viennese song art stage, on which both established artists and young talents will perform.

The Danube Island Festival has committed itself to respectful coexistence and social cohesion. These values ​​are also reflected in the comprehensive security measures, which are created annually in cooperation with the responsible authorities. The fire brigade, police and the Samaritan Association of Vienna as well as private security services are available.

There is a special focus on the Awareness concept, which is implemented as part of the festival. The campaign "I am your life anchor", which was initiated by Vice Mayor Kathrin Gaál in 2018, is intended to ensure that (sexual) harassment has no place. Visible stickers characterize trained employees: inside who can offer support in an emergency. In addition, there are over 30 festival pastors: inside that are active in mobile teams on the festival site.

Culinary offers and interactivity

A lot is also offered at the Danube Island Festival. Visitors can look forward to regional cuisine of "Zwoa Weinviertla". The livable area, which offers interactive stations of Vienna Energie, Viennese lines and burial and cemeteries in Vienna, is absolutely worth mentioning. The "there!
