Direct flights to Belgrade: Bodensee-Airport extends its offer!

Belgrad, Serbien - The Lake Constance Airport Friedrichshafen has expanded its route network and has been offering a direct connection to Belgrade since June 2, 2025. This new connection is operated by the Hungarian airline Wizz Air and is aimed at both business travelers and tourists. The flights take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with the first machine at 6:35 p.m. in Friedrichshafen and ends up in Belgrade at 8:15 p.m. The return flight takes place at 4:15 p.m., with arrival in Friedrichshafen at 6:00 p.m. This new option represents a welcome addition to the Serbian community in southern Germany and is regarded as a contribution to strengthening tourism and business travel traffic.

Belgrade is considered a dynamic metropolis with a rich culture and history, and is not only a magnet for tourists, but also an important business location. Many local companies, such as ZF, have locations in the Serbian capital. Due to the direct connection, travelers can now commute faster and easier between Lake Constance and the Serbian capital. Before the introduction of this route, travelers were dependent on diversions on other airports, including Memmingen, Stuttgart, Zurich or Munich.

The Belgrade Airport, inaugurated on April 28, 1962 by Josip Broz Tito, has had a fascinating story. After several decades of stagnation and a decline in passenger numbers as a result of the Balkan Ribble, the airport is currently being modernized and expanded. Vinci Airports, the operator of the airport, plans to increase the number of passengers to 7 million by 2024 and 10 million by 2030. The extensions include the introduction of new starting and runways as well as the offer of more environmentally friendly institutions.
