Digital memory trip: Vöcklabruck's students preserve history!

in Vöcklabruck, pupils of the BG Vöcklabruck and 15 apprentices from Stiwa presented the impressive memory project "Memorywalk_360" on November 27. The initiative was launched by Anne Frank Verein Austria and the Mauthausen Committee Vöcklabruck and offers a virtual tour consisting of nine interactive 360-degree photographs that are reminiscent of monuments and places of memory for the victims of National Socialism in the region. The participants received a lot of praise for their commitment. Gottfried Hirz, President of the Upper Austrian Red Cross, gave the young people ceremoniously presented certificates of participation and emphasized how proud he was on these young people. Frederik Schmidsberger, chairman of the Mauthausen Committee Vöcklabruck, spoke in the final word about the importance of such initiatives that raise awareness of the dark history of our region.
