New parking deck and redesign: Ruster Investments in the Tipidorf

in the municipality of Rust, where the well-known Europa-Park is located, there are significant changes. The makers of the park and the municipality have made a partnership to implement a comprehensive traffic adjustment, which includes the expansion of the Tipidorf and the redesign of the Rheinstrasse. This initiative aims to defuse the parking problem caused by the increasing number of visitors.

Since 2017, the master plan for the traffic situation in Rust has been working. However, the challenges of corona pandemic have strongly influenced the plans and led to delays. After the end of the pandeme -related restrictions, those responsible promoted the implementation of their strategies with great intensity. The construction started after a public participation in November 2023.

eastern expansion of the parking spaces

A central part of the current project is the expansion of the parking space capacities to the east. This is intended to give up part of the previous alternative parking spaces, which could lead to a clearer structured traffic routing. On a press tour, those responsible, including Rusts Mayor Kai-Achim Kleiere, Tobias Decoux from the construction management of the European Park and the judiciary of the park, Michael Thoma, presented the progress and the plans.

The measures are not only important for the residents, but also for the thousands of visitors who head for the Europa-Park annually. Improving the parking situation is a clear step towards better accessibility and more comfort for the guests. There will also be an information event for interested citizens that will take place on Monday, December 2, at 6 p.m. in the Old Town Hall. There, the citizens can obtain further information and ask their questions about the planned changes.

The various participants are optimistic that the new measures will sustainably improve the traffic situation in Rust. With the implementation of these plans, the Europa-Park will increase not only more attractive for visitors, but also the quality of life of the residents. Such a project does not occur every day in the region and is being pursued with excitement.
