Europa-Park: New ride and anniversary celebration attract visitors
In the Europa-Park in Rust, you will experience a gratifying visitor growth this year, thanks to the opening of a new roller coaster and again accessible rides. Parking director Roland Mack confidently expressed that the number of visitors could increase by about five percent. The numbers are promising, although it remains unclear whether the park can reach the impressive mark of seven million guests this year. The previous year's visit was over six million.
The new roller coaster, “Voltron Nevera”, has already recorded almost three million passengers since its opening in April. Mack emphasizes that this attraction not only offers many exciting journeys, but also attracts younger target groups, supported by the new subject area Croatia.
attractions and celebrations
In addition, the rides that have been rebuilt after a major fire, such as the “Alpenexpress Enzian” and the “Tyrolean Wildwater Railway”, benefit from great well -received. They alone attracted around 2.7 million visitors. The Europa-Park will not stand still next year: A new interactive attraction will be presented in the Luxembourg theme area at the start of the season in March, which will not be a roller coaster. Mack emphasizes that the park is geared towards a broad family.
A highlight of the coming year will be the 50th anniversary of the park, which will be celebrated in July with a big celebration. An anniversary parade with colorful cars and dancers as well as new artist performances have so far been planned. In addition, an animated film with the popular mascot Ed and Edda Premiere will celebrate.
In order to be able to counter the additional costs, the Europa-Park is planning a price increase of around five percent for tickets. A standard ticket will then cost at least 64.50 euros to secure the park's financial scope.
winter season and corporate development
From this Saturday until January 12th, the winter season is heralded in the Europa-Park. The park is festively decorated, with around 3,500 fir trees that ensure an atmospheric ambience. Visitors from Switzerland and France are particularly numerous, which underlines the international attraction of the park.
The Europa-Park Group continues to be managed by the Mack family, parents and siblings are active in the management. According to rumors, the group of companies generates annual sales of over 500 million euros, but official figures are not known. The Europa-Park was originally founded in 1975 as a shop window for the products of the carousel smithy Mack Rides and has since developed into one of the most popular leisure destinations in Germany.
