Free kindergarten care: Communities cooperate for parents!

Free kindergarten care: Communities cooperate for parents!

In the Burgenland state parliament, a significant change in childcare was decided. A novella of the children's education and care law leads to a year -round free care in kindergartens. This measure primarily benefits parents, since the prior collection of the childcare requirement is now no longer necessary during the holidays. At the same time, the parents no longer have to announce their vacation times or register their children for holiday care.

In this context, the municipalities of Lutzmannsburg and Frankenau-Unterpullendorf took the plan to collect cooperation. This cooperation is intended to efficiently use the resources of both municipalities and enable children to coordinate the children's care during the various holidays. Affected holidays are the autumn, Christmas, semester, Easter and summer vacation.

cooperation between the municipalities

Mayor Roman Kainrath from Lutzmannsburg said positively about the planned cooperation: "The children will be looked after in Lutzmannsburg and during the next holidays in Kleinmutschen.

A fair division of the summer vacation is also on the plan. The municipalities intend to divide the kindergarten care times in August, so that each municipal area receives 11 days of care. In order to bring the children into the neighboring kindergarten if necessary, transports with the municipal buses are also planned.

The municipal council in Lutzmannsburg has already unanimously approved this cooperation, whereby the cooperation is initially limited to one year. The municipal council of Frankenau-Unterpullendorf is still waiting for the examination of the cooperation agreement by the responsible kindergarten department. However, Mayor Paul Fercsak emphasized that there will definitely be holiday care with Lutzmannsburg.

This new regulation could not only improve care during the holidays, but also strengthen the sense of community between the two communities and offer small residents the opportunity to make new friendships. Such an initiative could increase flexibility for the parents and at the same time guarantee high quality care.
