Neusiedl am See: Investments for a livable home

In Neusiedl am See, there is an impressive growth that is reflected in increasing population. In order to continue to make the city worth living and attractive, numerous investments in the infrastructure are underway.

One of the latest developments concerns the tennis hall, which has already been opened at the beginning of the year, which is now starting in its second winter season. But the fire department is not neglected either; There are extensive conversions and overgrowth measures that are urgently necessary to meet the needs of the fire brigade.

expansion of the fire departments

The district command in Neusiedl will receive new premises. The planning includes the adjustments of storage areas, workshops and sanitary facilities. In addition to an enlarged vehicle hall, separate wardrobes and a room for the fire brigade youth are also set up. After completion, the new system will include around 2,433 square meters, which corresponds to a significant improvement in the infrastructure. In cooperation with the volunteer fire brigade and project development Burgenland GmbH, around 4 million euros flow into this project. In addition, a new change of change is stationed for the fire brigade.

A temporary operations center in the former event hall next to the building yard was set up for the period of construction work. Mayor Elisabeth Böhm emphasizes the important role of the fire brigade for the district, which is well supported with the current construction work.

nature conservation on the Kalvarienberg

Another major progress for Neusiedl is the acquisition of a 120,000 square meter property on the Kalvarienberg, which is to serve as a grassland and nature reserve in the future. This area, which was jointly acquired by the Urbarial community and the municipality, is made accessible to the population as a local recreation area. Mayor Böhm emphasizes that this purchase is an opportunity for generations to maintain the valuable habitat and the flowering meadows.

The initiative goes to the vision of promoting Neusiedl not only as a city with a beautiful ambience, but also as a place of relaxation and nature. The forested area invites citizens to walk and excursions.

In the upcoming Advent season, Neusiedl also becomes the center of festive activities again when the Adventdorf is opened on December 13th. With free admission, visitors are offered a varied program with culinary delights, which is designed by the local clubs.

The Togolitan children will contribute to the festive mood with their appearances, while the traditional edition of the peace light on December 23 will set an additional contemplative note. In addition, in the Adventdorf value is placed on sustainability by inviting visitors to bring their own mug.

Finally, Neusiedl am See will remain green. In autumn, around 30 new trees are planted for which sponsorships can be taken over. This campaign has proven to be extremely popular and aims to improve the quality of life in the city.
