On November 11th, the event place in Mattersburg turned into a festive activity when the municipality invited to the traditional Martinimarkt. This market is not only a highlight in the annual calendar, but also offers a platform for regional producers who present their specialties.

The event started at 11:11 a.m. with a special ritual: Mayor and member of the state parliament Claudia Schlager, Markus Kurz from the Schandl winery and pastor Werner Riegler blessed the new city wine, which marked the official start of the festival. After that, the visitors were able to taste the fine “Stadtwein-Tröpferl”, a sign of the local wine tradition.

Visitors were able to enjoy Langos together in a sociable round or take a break with a glass of wine from Markus Kurz and his winery, which was previously known as Domaine Pöttelsdorf. These culinary highlights made the Martinimarkt an unforgettable experience.
