FUNDERMAX Neudörfl: Less dismissals than feared
In October there were sobering news from Neudörfl: Fundermax is forced to reduce positions due to economic difficulties and enormous price pressure. Initially, there was talk of up to 60 affected jobs, which was concerned with the employees.
René Willegger, chairman of the Central Works Council of Fundermax, commented on the dramatic developments. "The situation is extremely difficult for all affected employees," he said in a conversation. Willegger is not only a voice for the workers, but also a long -time employee himself, who began in 1985 as a locksmith at Fundermax. At the moment the focus was on informing the employees concerned as respectfully as possible about their dismissals.
less dismissals than expected
Although initially talking about 60 jobs, Willegger shows that the number could possibly be significantly lower. "This number was a first assumption that we sent to the AMS as part of the statutory report," said the works council chairman. However, the exact number of dismissals remains unclear. The majority of the employees concerned will work in the production department.
FUNDERMAX does everything they can to stay transparent and to convey the information to the employees as appreciatively as possible. The situation raises questions and could possibly have further developments. Details and specific information about the future steps of the company have not yet been finally determined.
For further information regarding the termination plans and how Fundermax deals with the current crisis, further reports are essential. More detailed information is therefore in a recent article on www.bvz.at read.
