FUNDERMAX in Neudörfl: 60 jobs due to market development at risk
In a regrettable turn, the FUNDERMAX company decided to adapt a capacity at the Neudörfl location, which affects up to 60 jobs. Gernot Schöbitz, Managing Director of Fundermax, explained that the decision was influenced by a combination of a weak economy, unfavorable market developments and increasing price pressure.
FUNDERMAX, an established manufacturer of high -quality raw chipboard, employs around 200 people in Neudörfl. The location has a long tradition and has been in operation for more than 50 years. "This adaptation is necessary to secure future production in Neudörfl with around 140 remaining employees and at our other locations in St. Veit an der Glan and Wiener Neudorf," says Schöbitz.
Engagement for the workforce
The workforce has already been informed about the changes. Fundermax confirms that you will work closely with the works council and try to offer affected employees alternative positions within the company. A social plan is also drawn up to facilitate the transition for the employees.
The planned measures are designed to maintain the company's competitiveness and to secure jobs in other areas. The locations in St. Veit and Wiener Neudorf remain unaffected by the current adjustments, which are positive news for the workforce there.
For more information and reactions to these developments, a detailed report is announced in the upcoming print edition of the BVZ.
