Health and fitness trainer: Güssinger Gymnasium sets new standards

In Güssing, 22 students from the upper school high school have recently successfully completed their training as a health and fitness trainer. This innovative training is rarely offered in Burgenland and gives the graduates special qualifications to make a career in the health and fitness industry.

Director Robert Antoni is proud of the performance of the students. "With the diploma in your pocket, you have a variety of career opportunities: from health promotion in companies to activities in gyms, to work in spa facilities or thermal baths," he said after the successful theoretical and practical exams. The gymnasium Güssing takes off the possibility of completing this training in parallel to the Matura.

cooperation with WiFi Burgenland

This special training is made possible by cooperation with the WiFi Burgenland, in which the students were prepared by the teachers Kinga Lukacs Fekete and Jürgen Pranger. The final exams were monitored by Jürgen Irion from WiFi, which underlines the professionalism and the high demands of the program.

The training as a fitness trainer is designed especially for the students of the final class with a sports focus. "The program sets a clear unique selling point in the educational landscape," emphasizes director Antoni. In addition to this training, the Güssing grammar school is also the only school in Austria that offers pilot training in parallel to regular school training, which contributes to the uniqueness of the educational offers there.
