Great drug raid in Styria: five suspects arrested!

In the course of comprehensive investigations by the foreign and border police inspection, a huge drug gang was uncovered. Since April 2024, the investigators have been pursuing some Romanian citizens between the ages of 27 and 44. These are suspected of having introduced synthetic drugs, mainly "3cmc", from Romania to Austrian Styria and Burgenland between summer 2023 and August 2024. A total of around 30 buyers are said to have bought about 2.8 kilograms of the drug. The drug gang achieved a profit of shocking 170,000 euros through this trade, such as the Kleine Zeitung reported.

In order to put the suspect the craft, the Graz public prosecutor ordered several searches of the residential seats. In these missions, the investigators not only discovered significant amounts of drugs and cash, but also weapons such as pepper spray and a whipping ring, as well as various other objects that might have acted as stolen goods or as a payment for drug purchases. The men of the drugs are not easy: five main perpetrators have now been arrested in Austria as well as in Romania and Germany and are currently sitting in the Graz-Jakomini prison behind the castle and bar. The investigation into two other suspects continues, confirmed the Today.at .

The police assume that the gang's delinquent activities not only burden the region, but also continue to intertwine the network of international drug trade. With these arrests, the authorities hope to move drug crime a decisive blow and increase security in the region.
