On August 22nd and 23rd, 2025, the 25th Federal Fire Brigade Youth Performance Competition took place in Weiz, Styria, which brought together participants from all nine federal states of Austria. The event began with a celebratory opening ceremony on the main square in Weiz, where local personalities such as National Council member Manuel Pfeifer, state parliament member Silvia Karelly and Mayor Bettina Bauern welcomed the young people. Fire brigade president Robert Mayer officially opened the competition and honored deserving fire brigade officials who were honored with awards from the Styria State Fire Brigade Association and the Austrian Federal Fire Brigade Association. Excellent results of the fire brigade youth Freßnitz
The Freßnitz Fire Brigade Youth showed an impressive performance and was able to qualify as one of the six best groups in Styria. In the competitions they achieved a time of 47.39 seconds in the obstacle course - without any mistakes. In the relay race they needed 75.78 seconds, which secured 18th place overall and a silver ranking. Particularly noteworthy is the team spirit, commitment and ambition of the participants, which those responsible are proud of. The competition culminated in an emotional award ceremony in the Weizer Stadium, where the Federal Fire Brigade Youth Achievement Badge was awarded.
