Wine lovers welcome: House of the wine in Donnerskirchen opened
The opening of the Wine House in Donnerskirchen is an important milestone for the wine lovers of the region. After two years of planning, this new main starting point was ceremoniously opened. The house wants to act as a central meeting place for guests and locals and at the same time celebrate the rich culture of the Burgenland wine.
This special event took place last week when the house opened its goals for the public. The combination of regional baked goods and exquisite wines, offered in the new wine bar "Morizz - Bread + Wine", attracted many guests and created an inviting atmosphere.

At the festive opening, the sounds of the 1st Burgenland Trachtenkapelle Donnerskirchen accompanied the event. This added a special note, while the fine wines and delicious local specialties were able to enjoy. The visit to the house of the wine was not only for wine lovers, but for everyone who wanted to experience the Burgenland hospitality.
The offer in the new wine archive includes not only the Morizz house collection, but also the excellent wines of the red-gold grape and the famous century wine. A large wine buffet with a varied selection of specialties completed the tasting.
State Councilor Daniela Winkler was pleased with this new room at the opening: "With the house of wine, the cultural asset of the Burgenland is presented in a new light. Wine has always connected people, and this is exactly what shows the house of wine." It also emphasized the importance of the project for wine tourism in the region.
In addition to the existing event rooms and a modern kitchen, the outdoor area was upgraded by a redesign. A shade -giving terrace was created and a special bicycle care place for cyclists was set up. These improvements should help enrich the experiences of visitors and to promote the region as an attractive goal.
"It is important to us that we not only address the local population, but also tourists from all over the world," added Winkler and expressed their thanks to the Burgenland wine tourism, without whose commitment this vision would not have been possible.
