Focus on water management: New project on the Neusiedler See starts
in the heart of Eisenstadt, in the magnificent Esterhazy Castle, a new project is launched, which deals with the important topic of water management at Lake Neusiedler. This is done under the aegis of the Foster Europe Foundation, which is committed to dealing with the challenges in the field of water management and finding innovative solutions. The official starting shot was found in Neusiedl am See on Wednesday, where a seminar took place together with a panel discussion to bring together different perspectives and concepts.
The project extends over a total of eight EU countries and has set itself the goal of developing sustainable and cooperative water management that also actively integrates citizens. Special emphasis is placed on transparency and the public in order to incorporate as many opinions and ideas as possible into the planning. Responsible for the funding company emphasize that bourgeois co -determination is of central importance in order to take into account the claims of all stakeholders.
Details of the project
The project, which includes a term of two years, provides for an extensive program. After the internal conference on Wednesday evening there was a public lecture series, to which Harald Grabenhofer from the Neusiedler See National Park and Patrik Hierner from the Northern Burgenland tourism association were invited to share their thoughts.
Another highlight will take place on Thursday when students from the Neusiedl am See high school take part in a seminar that offers you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and actively participate in the discussion about water management. This is an important step to sensitize the younger generation to ecological and sustainable questions and to hear their opinions and suggestions.
This measures not only makes an important contribution to the environment, but also creates a platform that promotes the dialogue between the various actors. The region at Neusiedler See has the potential to become a model for other regional authorities in Europe when it comes to implementing initiatives to water management.
