The Wulkradersdorf fire brigade was alerted to rescue the second vehicle. The emergency services of the Mattersburg fire brigade immediately started cleaning up by pulling the first vehicle out of the field with a winch and freeing the first lane to restore traffic as quickly as possible. The rescue of the vehicles was over two hours, with a total of four fire engines in use.
