Resthissation in Eisenstadt: Children's rights in the focus of the state government
In our state, November 20th is celebrated as a "day of children's rights" every year. On this special day, the flag with the inscription "Children have rights" was hoisted in front of the country house in Eisenstadt. Among other things, the deputy governor Astrid Eisenkopf, the State Councilor for Education Daniela Winkler and the President of the Landtag Robert Hergovich were present. With this solemn act, a strong sign of the rights of the children should be set.
"This action is of great importance for us. The living conditions of children have to be the focus, and we are obliged to support them in every aspect, especially where help is necessary," said the participants. For the children's friends Burgenland and the students of two elementary schools, it was an opportunity to remember the importance of these topics.
attention for children's rights
The initiative aims to raise public awareness of the rights and needs of our youngest citizens. According to Daniela Winkler, who is also responsible for the right to education as an educational councilor, the challenges that children are facing today are diverse. "It is of the greatest importance that we are committed to their rights, be it on an educational path or in terms of their environment," continued Winkler.
On this occasion, it was also pointed out to the dreary reality that many children still live under difficult conditions worldwide. "The situation is still alarming in many countries. Every child has the right to life, development and, above all, protection against violence," emphasized Hergovich. He emphasized that these legal claims not only have to be legally anchored, but also to be recognized and implemented socially.
In order to underline the visible expression of the engagement, the flag remains raised until November 27, 2024. This measure should not only increase awareness, but also encourage citizens to find out about the various rights of children and to actively contribute to improving their living conditions.
In addition, it can be stated that the state government has already implemented numerous measures to support families and the rights of children. Protection of the children plays a central role in giving them the best possible development.
The flag, which protests against the defective situation of many children in the world, is a symbol of the collective striving to campaign for children's rights. Everyone is urgently appealing to work for the future of children in Burgenland and make a contribution.
