Astrid Eisenkopf and Daniela Winkler inspire pupils for the circular economy in Neusiedl am See

In Neusiedl am See, the climate schools started a new project to promote energy efficiency and circular economy. Deputy Governor Astrid Eisenkopf and State Councilor Daniela Winkler emphasize the importance of dealing more carefully with resources and maintaining nature healthy. The school project "C2C-Cradle to Cradle" deals intensively with the topics of climate change, energy efficiency and circular economy.

The concept of the circular economy, also known as a cradle-to-cradle or C2C, plays a central role. It aims to efficiently use resources and minimize the environmental impact. The pupils of the participating schools are actively involved in regional climate responsibility. The project is carried out in cooperation with the climate and energy model region Neusiedler See- Seewinkel.

Eisenkopf and Winkler emphasize the need for rethinking and the implementation of measures to achieve the climate and energy goals of the Burgenland. The school project is financially supported by promoting 30,000 euros from the climate and energy fund.

The Climate and Model Region Neusiedler See- Seewinkel pursues the goal of switching to renewable energies and thus making a contribution to climate protection. The introduction of cradle-to-cradle products is intended to help optimize resource use and reduce environmental loads.
