50 years of community partnership: celebratory anniversary celebration with anniversary wine in Breitenbrunn

The 50th anniversary of the community partnership between Breitenbrunn on Lake Neusiedl and the Breitenbrunn market in Upper Palatinate was celebrated today in a moving ceremony. The celebrations were held in the presence of Deputy Governor Astrid Eisenkopf, who praised the cross-border cooperation. This partnership symbolizes how friendship and solidarity can grow across geographical and national borders.

The ceremony not only marked the anniversary of the partnership, but also the blessing of an anniversary wine created especially for the occasion. The two cuvée wines, white and red, were produced by the Breitenbrunner wine-growing association exclusively for the friends from Upper Palatinate. At the celebration, visitors were able to taste these fine wines and celebrate the bond between the two communities.

Mayor Helmut Hareter proudly emphasized the long-standing relationship between the two Breitenbrunns, which has officially existed since 1974. The aim of this partnership was to promote cultural exchange and friendship between residents. This close bond has continued to deepen over the years, and many meaningful friendships have developed and are maintained to this day.

The deputy governor was impressed by the creation of the anniversary wine and praised the passion and dedication of the winemakers who created this unique wine. This festival symbolizes not only the past, but also the future of the friendly relationship between the two Breitenbrunns, which should continue to grow and prosper.
