Another serious incident also occurred on June 3 when the Italian climbing legend Cristian Brenna died on Monte Biaena above Lake Garda. According to alpin , such incidents in the Alps are worrying in the current season.
On May 30, 2025, a 28-year-old was found dead after an avalanche accident at the Königspitze, and a family from Germany also got into an emergency in the Tennengebirge despite their experience, which made a nightly mountain rescue necessary. By June 9th, numerous other incidents were recorded that indicate the dangers in the mountains.
The recurring reports on mountain accidents show that alpine leisure activities are associated with risks. This underlines the need to prepare for alpine activities thoroughly and always act carefully. The emergency services are ready to help in an emergency, but it remains important to take responsibility for your own security.
