Fasting 15 years, sharing, helping: a sign of solidarity in Austria!

The Muslim Youth Organization in Austria (MJÖ) celebrates an impressive anniversary: For 15 years, the initiative "Fasting, Share, Help" (FTH) for social justice and support in need. This movement, which started as a small initiative in 2010, has now become the largest Muslim social campaign in Austria. Every year, more than 10,000 young Muslims in the fasting month of Ramadan with over 400 projects such as homeless homes, children's centers and retirement homes for people are in need, as the MJÖ reports.

The commitment of the MJÖ goes beyond the mere assistance. It is also a proactive measure against extremism and social division. Adis Šerifović, the federal chairman, emphasizes that the initiative gives young people the opportunity to actively participate and to shape positive changes. The upcoming Iftare - Great Community Essential Events during the Ramadan - are under the motto "Fasting 15 years, share, help - for 15 years" and invite people of all origins and beliefs to gather and promote interreligious dialogue.

The commitment of the MJÖ has been recognized several times, both by civil society and from politics. Prominent political personalities, including former National Council President Wolfgang Sobotka, have actively participated in the charitable promotions. The MJÖ also received awards such as the European Youth Carl Prize, which appreciates the significant contribution of young Muslims in Austria. In this crucial phase, the MJÖ invites everyone interested to take part in the upcoming activities or to support the initiative.
