Flood chaos: sinking cities, heroes fight for life!
Klodzko, Polen - Current reports show that there are dramatic situations in both sport and nature. At the same time, all of Central Europe seems to be haunted by an unprecedented flood disaster. In Poland, Austria and the Czech Republic, the situation is catastrophic. Evacuations and aid of 1 billion Zloty (approx. 240 million euros) for the flood victims were announced by the Polish government. The situation is just as critical in Austria. On Sunday, the entire Lower Austria was declared a disaster area, where twelve dike brings and a firefighter died during the basement pumping. The situation remains tense: heavy rains and the impending danger of further floods make numerous areas uninhabitable. In the Czech Republic, over 12,000 people had to leave their houses, and more than three deaths were reported here. The coming days could be crucial for many residents who live in the shade of this natural disaster. The immediate effects show no signs of improvement and the citizens of the affected regions are still in great concern.
