US President wants to take control of reporters in the White House!

In a dramatic advance, US President Donald Trump has torn control over the reporting in the White House. As the Krone , it will be decided in the future as to which reporters will be approved for reporting in the White House or the presidential aircraft. These controversial measures were announced by Trump's spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, during a Press conference. Thus, the independent journalist association WHCA, which was previously responsible for the selection of journalists, is placed on the bench, which is regarded as a serious interference with freedom of the press.

The WHCA has stipulated in the past which reporters were allowed to participate in the official dates of the President. Trump's changes already led to the immediate unloading of the Reuters news agency and the German Tagesspiegel from a cabinet session. In an email to the member organizations of the WHCA, the chairman Eugene Daniels explained that the new regulation is seriously at risk of spreading independent news. Another conflict broke out when Trump recently excluded reporters of the Associated Press because they refused to call the Gulf of Mexico as the "Gulf of America", as the president had ordered it. AP editor-in-chief Julie Pace described this exclusion as "unacceptable" and an attack on freedom of the press. The Correspondent Association of the White House found that the White House cannot determine how media should report.
