Enlightenment about social media

At the same time, the #Me Workshops initiative offers that critically deal with the influence of social media on the body image of young people. These workshops, which are aimed at participants aged 13 and over, last three hours and take place. Under the guidance of a trainer, participants can question their own beauty terms and learn how media influence their self -awareness. As Digital youth education describes, the young people reflect what "beautiful", "normal" and "healthy" means for them. Exercises such as drawing a self-portrait help to compare the self and external image.

The workshops are not only a discussion about the outside, but also an invitation to young people to deal with topics such as eating behavior and dealing with social media. Participants report positive experiences during the workshops and emphasize the importance of being able to talk about such topics in a supportive environment. This initiative plays an important role in the education and strengthening of young people at a time when they are particularly vulnerable.
