Fair and reminder: Bobeck and Eisenberg invite you!

There is exciting news in the Saale-Holzland district! On November 6th, an exciting reading competition took place at the Friedrich-Schiller-Gymnasium in Eisenberg, in which the talented Amelie Schröder from class 6d took first place. She will now represent Thuringia at the next competition! The participants not only had to demonstrate their reading technique, but also read an unknown text from the book “Rico, Oskar and the Deep Shadows”. The variety of texts chosen ranged from fantasy to humorous stories, which impressed the jury.

Important events and closures

On November 9th, a memorial walk to the Stolpersteine will take place in Eisenberg to send a strong message against anti-Semitism. This memorial march begins at 4:30 p.m. at Großer Brühl 1 and is combined with another memorial event from 5:30 p.m. at Burgstrasse 13. The “Against Forgetting” initiative emphasizes the urgency of honoring the victims of the Nazi regime, especially after the shocking incidents in Zeitz, where stumbling blocks were broken out.

In addition, Stünzmühlenstrasse in Törpla will be completely closed until December 20th due to civil engineering work. The diversion is signposted via Gösen, Hainchen, Schkölen, Dothen and Tünschütz. There is up-to-date information for bus travelers on the transport companies' websites.

The traditional “Kirmse” in Bobeck on November 9th also promises to be a highlight, with live music from 8 p.m. and a musical morning pint on Sunday. And don't forget: On Friday, November 8th, the Hermsdorfer Kreuz Skatclub invites you to an exciting skat evening, where the best players will fight for the points!
