A shocking incident shocked Erkelenz! On the night of November 1, 2024, at exactly 11:15 p.m., a cigarette machine on Buscherkamp Street was rudely silenced with an explosion. Unknown perpetrators decided to blow up the machine, presumably to grab cigarettes and the change inside. Between October 31st, 3:00 p.m., and November 1st, 5:30 p.m., gold-hungry thieves broke into a car on Gereonstrasse. They were not deterred by the owners' absence and stole delicious sweets and refreshing drinks worth around 1,000 euros. The company behind this theft is still unknown.
