A deafening bang shattered the calm of residents on Ostpreußenallee in Dormagen on Monday evening (November 18th) around 10:30 p.m. Unknown perpetrators allegedly blew up a cigarette machine and then disappeared into the darkness. The loud explosion alarmed the neighbors and left many questions unanswered.
The police are now investigating intensively at Criminal Investigation Department 11. It remains unclear whether the blowing up of the machine also brought the perpetrators some loot. Leonardus, who is in charge of the investigation, has the entire district on guard. The officers are asking the public for help: Anyone who has seen or heard anything suspicious is asked to call 02131 3000.
